2009 First Annual UNDERGROUND BIG APPLE JAZZ FEST: This 9-day celebration of New York 's Hidden Jazz Haunts will rope together for the first time the best underground jazz scene in the world. 

Distinctive restaurants that feature live jazz along with dozens of hidden neighborhood clubs will be putting their Fest foot forward with exciting jazz events. Festival Pass holders are entitled to special fan appreciation discounts and promotions. 

A Festival Pass is good from now till July 4th at selected jazz spots from Harlem down to the Village and is redeemable for drink discounts, food discounts, and reduced or free cover charges. See the list of Promotional Discounts.

The party began with a free out-door concert June 21st; and special behind-the-scene tours are available throughout the week provided by Big Apple Jazz Tours and The New York City Jazz Meetup Group --- a great way to go hear jazz music with like-minded people (over 800 members and counting).
